How we define impact

Impact is the way we quantify our purpose given form.

I think about impact in four circles. It starts with leading yourself: your health, your learning, your discipline. It grows to your family, then your community, then the world. Every training and every coaching program here is built to grow one of those circles, and to measure it.

Bobby Smith

Servant leadership, without apology for ambition.

I believe the best leaders serve their team and their community, and that it costs nothing in results. My model builds on Robert K. Greenleaf’s servant leadership: be the leader people want to work for, invest in your team, do the work before you ask others to.

I have spent my career at the intersection of entrepreneurship, education and influence: serving as Program Leader, Wharton Executive Education, Executive Presence and Influence Program (delivered with Emeritus), with 700+ senior leaders; as First Senior Advisor of Thought Leadership at Echoing Green; and giving 50+ talks. Now I build with AI every week and teach what I learn.

Mastery, to me, is measured by how many leaders you create.
